The raison d’être of the Centre, which was initiated following an international conference that highlighted the importance of better governance is to think collectively on issues of public governance. In the deliberations of the Centre, professionals from different walks of life come together to analyze different aspects of governance. The need to improve public policy formulation and delivery of citizen centric services is the focus in Centre’s activities.
The Centre has contributed positively to the subject of public governance in general and ethical content in public service in particular, to enlarge its activities. It has advocated on important issues like Lokpal Bill, Education Policy, Ethical Governance and other related subjects.
A core group at the Centre meets regularly to deliberate on issues of governance, leading to research and a reasoned stand, and welcomes dissimilar opinions and beliefs from policymakers, lawmakers, and thinkers in this process.
