One of the most impactful initiatives of the IC Centre for Governance (ICCfG) has been its Training Programme on Ethics in Public Governance, launched at a time when ethics was rarely discussed in government circles. The programme has since set a benchmark in shaping reflective, responsible, and values-driven leadership among civil servants.

A Transformative Learning Experience

The 5-day residential module is designed to go beyond routine administrative training. It encourages participants to reflect deeply on their roles, responsibilities, and personal values. By connecting officers to the inner foundations of leadership, the course emphasizes:

• Integrity in decision-making

• Self-awareness and ethical reflection

• Responsible leadership and public service accountability

This unique approach ensures that ethics is not treated as a theoretical concept, but as a guiding principle in everyday governance.

National Recognition and Empanelment

The programme quickly gained national recognition for its relevance and impact. It was empanelled by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) for IAS and other All India Services officers. Over the years, the training has extended to a wide range of participants, including:

IAS, IPS & IRTS officers
Indian Railways officers under the Satyanishtha Mission
Public Sector Undertakings such as NTPC, GAIL, SAIL, and Coal India
Officers from state governments including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and others
